"THE QUILT SHOW" and The Week Leading Up To It

This was the delivery that arrived from Okotoks  with just a sampling of the quilts in it. The quilts were from ladies in Okotoks and High River.
The days leading up to the Quilt Show were very busy ones with quilts arriving almost daily.  This week we had quilts arrive from Okotoks and High River that were very generously transported by Highway 9 and  Grimshaw Trucking . We also had ones arrive this week from Flatbush , Kinuso, Biesiker,Bonnyville, Lacombe,Ponoka, Camrose,High Prairie ,Slave Lake in Alberta as well as  another drop-off from Yellowknife for a total of 101 new quilts.
Karen And Bob who drove all the way from Beiseker just to deliver the quilts from there. They camped overnight and even came down and took in the Quilt Show. Great to meet you Karen and Bob and thank you!!

Ruth and Mike dropped off another delivery from Yellowknife. Thnaks once again Yellowknife.

This is my sister Judy   from Camrose who brought quilts with her from Camrose,Ponoka,Bonnyville and Lacombe. She also helped out at the show on Saturday. Thanks so much Judy.

This is the beautiful quilt donated by Dixie  Dilts from Lacombe that was part of the delivery Judy brought.

We took 182 quilts to display on Sat. ....the weather behaved perfectly and the attendance was great. Many new names were added to the list and 84 quilts were gifted with around 50 more households having their quilts now. That is just the numbers from the show so I will give an update to where we are at a later time once I have done the count. All in all I was very pleased with the outcome and I am sure that just with the attention the quilts received word will continue to get around and more new names will continue to be added. Thank you to all the wonderful ladies of Slave Lake that came out Saturday to help out as well as to my husband Ron for all he did which was a lot!!! Enjoy the pictures!!
