Another two weeks have passed and 97 new quilts have arrived . The quilts have come via Canada Post,Greyhound and Purolater as well as being hand delivered and picked up. They have come from Arizona, Nova Scotia,B.C. Ontario as well as Wainwright,Mundare and Calgary in Alberta and I mustn't leave out our many local contributers. On Wed. evening of this week my husband Ron and I took a road trip into Edmonton after the store closed at 5pm to pick up quilts that had been sent to Pat White at Sew Devine again. Was a quick trip but wonderful to see Pat again and meet her husband Mike and their children. Thanks Pat for continuing to act as a drop-off .
Most of these quilts have already been given to their new families . I have been going through the quilts still in the shop and trying to find some to represent all the wonderful indivduals, groups or communities in the "Blanket Slave Lake With Love Quilt Show" this coming Saturday,August 20th. For more information on the show please refer to the previous posting. Can't wait to share pictures from the show with you all next week.
Great to talk to you today-will post for my retreat ladies and see what we can get done in October as I'm sure you will need quilts then.
